Just You And Nature: Laughter "In The Rough" Refresher Course on Labor Day Week-end (August 31, Sept 1-2) We have reserved a beautiful mountain top cabin in the San Jacinto mountains (about 2h East of Los Angeles, CA) and will hold our first ever Laughter Yoga refresher course. Cost is $125/person for the whole week-end and includes bunk bed accommodation (limited availability: first come first served). You must bring your own food to share. We'll start on Friday evening and end on Sunday after lunch. This mountain top cabin is located in an area of breath-taking beauty. There is no electricity (all gas), no cell phones (sorry, they won't work), and outdoor showers and bathrooms (there is hot water). More comfort is available in local hotels in Idyllwild (if you book soon enough: Labor Day week-end is a popular one!) [click here to read more] |

Summer Laughter Yoga Trainings In Illinois, Florida and Texas If you ever planned / hoped to train in Laughter Yoga close to you then don't miss this one: Sebastien Gendry, Director of the American School Of Laughter Yoga and one of the most senior figures in the International Laughter Yoga movement will lead a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader training this summer in the following states: |

New Orleans: when success meets inspiration The Laugh Angeles sponsored a Laughter Yoga goodwill trip in New Orleans, Louisiana, on June 14-18. Our goal was to raise awareness locally about Laughter Yoga and support previous efforts to establish local Laughter Clubs. For those of you who may not remember New Orleans was 80% submerged and completely evacuated for over 7 weeks in 2005 following hurricane Katrina. This city has been crucified, to say the least. Angela Rodriguez, Hilary Kimbin and Sebastien Gendry from Los Angeles were on this trip. We led 8 laughter sessions in different parts of town and Sebastien taught a one full day training that 27 people attended. All events were free. What we saw inspired us greatly: the will to live, the desire to help, human fraternity in difficult time. Time has been in short supply lately. We'll post picture and more accounts of this trip on www.laughangeles.com before the summer is over. [Read an article on this trip] |

Laughter Yoga On The Retirement Channel Florence Henderson (America's favorite TV mom) and the Retirement Channel recently featured Sebastien Gendry and Laughter Yoga. Click here to watch the video. It is just like she said. "How can you go wrong with an exercise that is built around laughter?" We could not agree more. |

Laughter Yoga builds in many ways on theatrical improvisational games. I have found plenty of brilliant laughter exercises ideas in the following document (click here to access). All 350+ suggested games aren't relevant (I personally do not relate to the theatrical acting part) and still many are. All you have to do is leave your mind at home and speak with your body. Enjoy! |
